Famagusta
Famagusta is a historic port city on the east coast of Cyprus, encircled by well-preserved Venetian walls. Adjoining the old town is Varosha, once a major tourist resort that was abandoned and fenced off after the 1974 division of Cyprus and has remained largely derelict since.
